4th Dimension

Taking on the roll of A/V and being apart of the production team. It was all very new to me. I was excited to learn and be apart of something so fantastic, as to come up with a fashion show. Our main task was to be able to fulfill the designers vision. In this case the fashion show had 12 designers. How were we going to come up with cohesive theme? To be able to include all their different personal aesthetics? That was the difficult task.
Our show was going to place in the future in a 4th dimension. My role would be to do everything with A/V. (audio visual) Which would be a big task. Since most of the show would be having to do with videos and lights. In preparation for the show my tasks would include Dj set list, casting a singer, casting dancers, working with the A/V team for our vision and so on.
Casting models was also a very fun task. We wanted to be inclusive upon the request of the designers. The show would be divided into 3 sections for designs, minimalistic, urban streetstyle and dark punk. With a performance in-between each. We had a guest singer and b-boy dancers. To give our guests a little refresher before going into the next segment of the show.

This day was one of my favorites in preparation for the fashion show. The photo shoot, was going to set the tone for the whole show. We wanted to be able to give a hint of what the show would be and get people to attend. An era with futuristic high tech. It was a great way to be able to fit the theme with all the different aesthetics of the designers.
We had all the models in timeless white. With urban and elegant clothing. For the men a slick back look and for the women elegant, sleek hair and makeup that would pop. We used props such as circular medal rods, lights and plastic. We had a team of makeup and hair stylist to help with our vision. They were all incredible to work with!
A whole worths day of dress changes and setting up for the photo shoot. Helping set up and then pack everything up again. It was fun and fulfilling, before we knew it the photo shoot was over. I was caught up everything. This was a realization, this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

The day that we were all waiting for! The production team, gathered early in the morning. To set up everything for the fashion show. I was in charge of A/V, helped set up the runway and stage design. I also helped anyway possible, carrying clothes backstage, plugging in cords, help set up chairs and so on. It was truly incredible what we were able to accomplish with the budget we had. It was all thanks to the fantastic team we had! Our vision came to life.
As for our guests we had a VR area for them to draw and create their own reality. We also had a lounging area to chat and relax before the show. Inside the venue we had our runway laid out all across in a zig zag form. Big screens at the front of the runway, that would display our colorful pixilated video content. Glowing lights all around the venue to give a futuristic ambience. We also had male models all around posing in white. The production team each had their own pastel color to distinguish us from the crew. That was dressed in all white, to distinguish them from the crowd.
It was awesome being able to see all of the designers creations come to life. It was incredible to put on this show for them, so they could fully focus on their designs. We received a lot of positive feedback. Which was great hear! It was truly an incredible show and it was a night to remember.
